旋挖鉆機依據其主要作業參數：扭矩、發動機功率、鉆孔直徑、鉆孔深度及鉆機整機質量的不同分為三種類型。小型機適用于鉆孔直徑0.5～1m，鉆孔深度40m左右的樁基。中型機適用于鉆孔直徑0.8～1.8m，鉆孔深度60m左右的樁基，大型機適用于鉆孔直徑1～3m，鉆孔深度105m的樁基。
